What will my site’s web address (URL) be?

When you publish your site, you will be given the opportunity to choose your website address. You can choose the default URL which is based on your username and takes the format of http://username.houzz.com or, if you already own a custom domain (www.example.com), you can use that. You cannot buy a domain through Houzz.

I need to change my URL back to the default. I inadvertently entered the address of our primary web site and I do not want to override that address. Please tell me how to do that.

I also have the same problem. Can you tell me what the url is for my houzz site? I think I directed it to my own website: www.christinehales.com but I don't think it landed there.

You can always change your website address by logging into Site Designer (http://www.houzz.com/sitedesigner) and clicking on the left "Site Options" > "Change My Website Address".

From there you can reset your domain to point to http://yourusername.houzz.com or another custom domain.

Don't forget to modify your custom domain name's DNS records to point to our servers: https://support.houzz.com/entries/41731093-How-do-I-point-my-Site-Designer-site-to-my-domain-
